Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 9, 2026 | Last updated: October 9, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information Curb Calc ("we", "us", "our") collects when you visit this website, why we collect it, and the choices you have. The site is operated by an individual publisher, based in South Korea. If you do not agree with this policy, please stop using the site.
1. The short version
Our calculators run entirely in your browser. The dimensions, prices and vehicle details you type in are never sent to our servers and are never stored by us.
We collect your name, email address and message only if you choose to submit the contact form, and your email address only if you choose to subscribe to updates.
We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used, and Google Search Console to see how the site appears in search results.
We show advertising supplied by Google AdSense. Google and other third-party vendors use cookies to serve ads, and you can opt out of personalized advertising using the links in Section 4.
We do not sell your personal information for money. Under California law, showing personalized advertising may still count as "sharing" — see Section 8.
2. Information you give us directly
Contact form. The contact form asks for your name, email address and a message. We use this only to read and reply to what you sent. We keep these messages for as long as needed to handle your request and for a reasonable period afterwards, and then delete them.
Email updates. If you subscribe, we collect your email address and use it to send you updates about the site. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing removes your address from that list.
We do not ask for payment card numbers, government identification numbers, health information, or any other sensitive personal information. Please do not include such information in a contact form message.
3. Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our hosting provider and our analytics and advertising partners automatically receive certain technical information when you load a page. This typically includes your IP address, browser type and version, operating system and device type, the page you requested, the page that referred you, and the date and time of the request.
Google Analytics. We use Google Analytics to measure how many people visit the site, which pages they read, and roughly where in the world they are. Google Analytics sets cookies and processes the technical information described above. You can prevent Google Analytics from collecting your data by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
Google Search Console. We use Search Console to see which search queries lead to the site and how our pages rank. It reports aggregate data to us and does not identify individual visitors.
Calculator inputs. The measurements, material choices, vehicle details and prices you enter into our calculators are processed in your browser. They are not transmitted to us, not written to our servers, and not stored in any account.
4. Cookies and advertising
A cookie is a small text file a website stores in your browser. We and our partners use cookies for analytics and advertising as described here. We display advertising through Google AdSense. The following disclosures are required of all AdSense publishers:
Third party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites.
Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings at google.com/settings/ads.
Alternatively, you may opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting aboutads.info/choices. Users in Europe can also use youronlinechoices.eu.
Google AdSense is currently the only advertising network used on this site. If another is added, it will be named here with links to its site and its opt-out page.
Opting out of personalized advertising does not remove advertising from the site; it means the advertising you see is less likely to be based on your browsing history. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their settings, though blocking cookies may affect how parts of the site behave.
5. How we use information
We use the information described above to respond to messages you send us; send email updates to people who asked for them; understand which pages and calculators are used, so we can improve them; keep the site working, secure and free of abuse; display advertising that funds the site; and comply with legal obligations. We do not use your information to make automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you.
6. Who we share information with
We share information only with service providers that help us run the site, and only to the extent they need it:
Hostinger — website hosting and contact form delivery.
Google Analytics — traffic measurement. See policies.google.com/privacy.
Google Search Console — search performance reporting. See policies.google.com/privacy.
Google AdSense — advertising. See policies.google.com/technologies/ads.
Email newsletter provider — none in use yet; this list will be updated before any newsletter launches.
We may also disclose information if required by law, legal process or a government request, or to protect our rights, safety, or the safety of others. We do not sell your personal information for money.
7. International visitors
The site is operated from South Korea and is intended for visitors in the United States. If you access the site from elsewhere, your information will be processed in South Korea, in the United States, and in other countries where our service providers operate, which may have different data protection rules than your own.
8. Your choices and rights
Everyone. You can stop the contact form and email collection simply by not submitting them. You can unsubscribe from emails at any time. You can opt out of personalized advertising and analytics using the links in Sections 3 and 4.
California residents. Under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA, you have the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use it, to request deletion of it, to request correction of it, and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. Personalized advertising may constitute "sharing" of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. You can opt out using the Google Ads Settings and aboutads.info links in Section 4, and by enabling a recognized opt-out preference signal such as Global Privacy Control in your browser. To make a request, email us at americarooted@gmail.com.
Other U.S. states. Residents of states with comprehensive privacy laws may have similar rights. Use the same contact address and tell us which state you reside in. We will verify your identity before acting on a request, usually by replying to the email address associated with the information.
9. Children
The site is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, email americarooted@gmail.com and we will delete it.
10. Security
We take reasonable measures to protect the information we hold, including serving the site over HTTPS and limiting who can access contact form submissions. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Links to other sites
Our calculators cite outside sources, and advertisements link to third-party sites. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices. Read their policies before giving them information.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site changes. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. If the change is significant, we will say so clearly on this page. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
13. Contact
